Planning

Planning Applications are normally discussed at the regular Parish Council Meeting, held on the 1st Wednesday of the month. There are occasions when a planning subcommittee meeting is called, if there is no monthly meeting that month or the Planning Authority requires a response prior to the next Parish Council Meeting. The Agenda for the forthcoming meeting is published at least 3 clear days prior to the meeting.

Whilst Ockbrook and Borrowash Parish Council considers and comments on all applications affecting the Parish, the controlling authority is Erewash Borough Council (EBC), who can choose to take on board or ignore our comments.

Pending, approved and rejected Planning Applications can all be viewed using the Erewash Borough Council Planning Application Search

For residents, you must be aware of the Green Belt Area as this imposes further restrictions should your property be located within it. There are also a large number of trees with TPOs (Tree Preservation Orders) and you should check with PDNP before you carry out any work on a tree within the parish.
